Oxshott Medical Practice and the COVID Vaccine

Oxshott Medical Practice is working with a group of local practices to deliver the COVID-19 vaccinations. The first vaccination clinic was held at Epsom Racecourse week commencing 4th January. As per government guidance, the most vulnerable will be vaccinated first, starting with the over 80’s. Over the coming weeks enough vaccine will be supplied to vaccinate all this cohort, along with those living in Care Homes before moving down the groupings.

Please do not call the surgery.

There is a centralised admin team managing the bookings on behalf of the local practices and they will contact you via text or phone as more vaccines become available.

The NHS has also centrally started writing to eligible patients, currently the over 80’s, to invite them to book in for a Covid vaccination at a mass site. This has caused some confusion for patients who might already have received a text, but as the NHS are trying to roll the vaccine out as quickly as possible, there may be some duplication whilst the NHS works through the population in the coming weeks/months, so be patient and please note, that we have no control over the letters as these are centrally generated.
